Dust off your Suffolk County library cards, everyone,as Suffolk County prepares to unveil Live-brary.com. Live-brary.com, which will go live on September 21, is an endeavor by Suffolk County, to make available to all Suffolk County library cardholders free digital entertainment media such as audiobooks, e-books, movies and music which cardholders will be able to download to their computers, MP3 player and E-Readers. There will also be Live tutoring Help for students in grades K-12, help for GED exams and writing papers, career guidance, and live research support through chat with librarians. There will also be information about the latest offerings the library has to offer, complete with reviews. In addition, you'll find links to Live-brary.com social media sites. In order to gain access to the system, library card holders will simply have to enter the bar code number found on their library card.
Many events are planned throughout the day at most Suffolk County libraries. Staff will be on hand to guide members on how to use the system as well as to video-record library members on how they like it as well about their fondest memories about the library. In addition, there will be plenty of balloons, music and entertainment.
So, save the date--September 21 from 3-9pm and make a point to go visit your old library and see how it's changed!

Libraries are such a great resource and should be valued and cared for and the workers should be paid very well.
Hey Marie, this sounds like a great way to learn from a distance if you can not make it out of the house. I personally love going to the library and even enjoy the smell of books haha:)
Alan: I agree. Libraries are treasures.
Laura: Libraries and bookstores are my favorite places--my family will never go to either one with me because I can be there for hours.
